GBEA Organization Bylaws
The following is the current bylaws as amended by the Assembly of Members on July 16, 2020.
Current GBEA Bylaws Bylaw Amendment Recommendations
Recommendation #1: Establishment of a GBEA Advisory Committee (September 2024)
We propose the formation of a GBEA Advisory Committee, consisting of two representatives from each of the 13 regions, as defined by the latest FBLA region map. This committee will ensure that every area of Georgia has a significant role in shaping our organization’s culture and decision-making process. These representatives will act as the voice of their regions, ensuring our Executive Board is well-informed and that every region’s needs are considered.
Members of the GBEA Advisory Committee will also serve on one of our standing committees—Public Relations, Awards, Nominating, Legislative, Membership, or Professional Development. This integration will provide a platform for regional input and ensure that our committees benefit from diverse perspectives across the state.
Additionally, the Advisory Committee will collaborate with Betia Bentley, our Program Specialist for the GA Department Of Education, to develop turnkey lesson plans. These lesson plans will be made available on the GBEA website in the member section, ensuring our resources remain relevant, diverse, and tailored to the specific needs of each region.
